4 bedroom detached house for sale - Fleming Road, Woodnesborough

Tenure: Freehold

I say in all honesty, that this property has really got under my skin. This is not just a four bedroom detached house - there was no "qualifier" on Rightmove appropriate to describe what is on offer here. If I had the budget - then I would be throwing my hat in the ring for this one !
Cornerways has been under the same ownership for over 30 years. It has been lovingly extended under the watchful and discerning eye of now retired engineer John - who has insisted on a craftsmen built interior, and his wife Carol who is a juice therapist and has ensured that only non toxic products have been used to clean this immaculate home since they have been in residence
The approach to the house is impressive with a gravel driveway flanked by curved brick walls and pillars and double wrought iron gates. The driveway is large enough to accommodate several vehicles.
Access to this home is into the kitchen which has space for boots and shoes and and is well appointed with a range of fitted oak units, with concealed fridge freezer and concealed space and plumbing for washing machine, tiled walls, Bosch electric oven with Hotpoint four-ring electric hob and extractor hood over, granite effect roll top work surfaces, 1 ½ bowl single drainer sink unit. Like the rest of the house it is immaculate and has worked really well over the past 30 years but the new owners may wish to reconfigure or update and maybe even start making this place their own with the addition of an entrance porch.

There is a separate dining room which leads onto a conservatory with access to the patio and extensive garden.

The living room is a generous size. It is double aspect with French doors leading to the patio and garden - perfect for entertaining or a family gathering.

A spacious internal hallway which incorporates a study space leads to the impressive handcrafted oak staircase to the first floor.

Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms all big enough to accommodate double beds. There are built in linen cupboards and storage and 2 bathrooms. Both bathrooms are fitted with walk-in showers. However it is an easy fix should you wish to install a bath in one or both of these rooms if that were your preference.

Outside there are extensive gardens which are immaculately manicured. There also several storage buildings plus a summer house all fitted with lighting and power. There is ample garden to the front and rear of the house to meet the requirements of most families or individuals. But what is really interesting is the garden space to the side of the house. SUBJECT TO RELAVENT CONSENTS - This screams building plot!
Although this property sits well outside of the village for development purposes, there is a new local plan under development. Access issues could perhaps be addressed by widening the existing driveway and having a shared entry/exit onto the highway and with the right architect on board its surely worth a punt -unless you just want to love it as it is!.
The development potential here is NOT reflected in the price, it is just mentioned as consideration for those with an appetite for it.

A NOTE FROM THE OWNERS: The decision to downsize and sell our family home has been a long, hard decision to make. Whilst preparing to say goodbye to "Cornerways" the memories have been flooding back! Summers spent with our children, grandchildren, and friends, big family parties, with tents in the garden. Playing rounders, hide and seek, and sitting around the BBQ wrapped in blankets on those chilly long summer evenings, all of which we will of course take with us.

We leave behind a beautiful, very loved, happy and cared for house for a new family to enjoy and grow in, while we move on to the next chapter of life's journey, and closer to our family."
