UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO BE SELF SUFFICIENT CLOSE TO SANDWICH AND JUST A SHORT DRIVE TO TRAIN STATION WITH HIGH SPEED LINK TO ST PANCRAS!
It is our absolute pleasure to be marketing this wonderful and unique three bedroom detached bungalow which has come to the market for the first time in over 30 years. It occupies a plot which is a little under an acre in size and is found in the pretty village of Worth, near Sandwich.
The current owners have created a warm and welcoming home and stunning gardens and are moving to downsize.
The property is well maintained, beautifully presented and has a lovely warm welcoming feel about it. The accommodation flows well and provides a generous sized double aspect living/dining room - with a log burner for cosy autumn and winter days and evening. The kitchen/breakfast room is also a good size and has a large utility room with a back door leading to the garden.
There are three bedrooms all of which are large enough to accommodate double beds, the larger rooms having built in wardrobes. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, bath with shower over plus was basin. The WC is separate.
The loft is a huge space running the entire length of the bungalow and offers potential for a conversion ( subject to necessary consents) to provide extra bedrooms and a bathroom.
Outside there is ample parking with a detached garage and a driveway that can accommodate 2 vehicles.
The star of the show here though has got to be the delightful gardens, which are a riot of colour, lovingly created and tended by our vendors. There are lots of different zones and a summer house where you can sit and enjoy the colours and the fragrance of the beautiful flowers, shrubs and trees and observe the bird and wildlife that visit in abundance. There is a summer house, workshop, shed, kennels plus other brick built outbuildings in which to store all you need to keep the garden in tip top shape, or perhaps to convert to an office or hobby room.
If all this wasn't enough, just follow the path past the chestnut tree and through a small gate into the secret garden which is HUGE and has room for all you need to live "The Good Life" just like Tom and Barbara - but on a much larger scale and without Jerry and Margo!
There's room to keep chickens and other small livestock, plus a duck pond, a soft fruit cage, an abundance of fruit trees and a huge vegetable garden with a poly tunnel and greenhouses. And, to keep the vegetable beds well fed with nutrients there are well established compost heaps and a leaf mould cage.

A NOTE FROM OUR VENDORS:
Coming here to Chestnut Drive, 37 years ago, we found a bungalow that we both liked but which turned into our peaceful oasis with gardens for relaxing in but also enough room left for growing fruit and vegetables . Birds in abundance, their singing in a summer evening is magical. Wild ducks fly into the larger pond during the year. '
It will be a wrench for our vendors to leave but they are ready now to hand over the fruits of their labour to a new family to enjoy. Contact Taylor Gurney NOW to arrange your viewing appointment - we can't wait to show you around.
Worth is a small village situated near Sandwich in Kent. It is a picturesque village set amidst orchards and fields, with a central conservation area arranged around a duck pond which formerly marked the end of a navigable creek. It has many fine period houses including Barton House. The historic church of St Peter and St Paul has Norman origins, unusual wooden shingles on the tower and a roof resembling an upturned boat, which supposedly is where the design originated.
There are two pubs, the award winning St Crispin Inn and The Blue Pigeons, a playing field which frequently hosts cricket matches and village events in the summer. The village has it's own duck pond and primary school. Between Sandwich and Deal with their excellent traditional high streets and both with their high speed rail link into St Pancras, London.
